Chris Collins was born in Long Island, New York. He was an acquaintance of John Myung and John Petrucci.

Chris was asked to join Majesty (now Dream Theater) when the other members heard him singing “Queen of the Reich” by Queensryche. They were impressed with his voice quality, as it was similar to Geoff Tate’s. He joined the band in 1986 and was on board to record the band’s six song demo. He also wrote the original lyrics to the song “Afterlife”.

Collins left Majesty in November 1986. He resides in the Long Island area and is currently in the metal band Winterspell. We regret that this bio page is so short and invite Chris to contact us with updated information.
