These Walls, 3rd song on 8vm, is in the key of A

Unfortunately, no. It's in the key of Am. :P

Well, technically true, but still, Am can be denoted as a (at least in Germany, where I come from), which then fits again.

If you want to get really serious on the nuggetz:

The letter "m" for "Am" is the 13th letter of the alphabet. 8 + 5..........? 13!  :hefdaddy

senecadawg2

17 days separate 4/20 and 5/8. Also... I am 17 years old!  :o :o  :o :o :o :o :o :o Nugget? I think so.

This is all part of a huge conspiracy, I tell you. :lol

Dublagent66

I always thought it was strange that they named DT day after 5/8.   ???

a is correct everywhere that uses western music theory.

No. When you omit the major or minor, it's assumed that you meant major. The same principle applies for chords as for keys (ask any guitarist to play a G, and he will never, ever, ever play a G minor).

Scorpion

Yeah, a- can be used, but the way that I know is that A denotes A major and a denotes a minor.

Trying to bring this back on topic, if you happen to be in Bangkok on Tuesday, you can celebrate Dream Theater Day by actually watching them live!

RoeDent

It's here!

:metal HAPPY DREAM THEATER DAY!  :metal

My plan is to listen to 4 full albums today, Images & Words, Scenes from a Memory, Octavarium and A Dramatic Turn of Events, interspersed with highlights from the other albums, studio and live.

Also, listening to the song Octavarium (an encore playing for me) at 11:36pm (24 minutes to midnight) to end the day.

Happy DT day to everybody!!!
I spontaneously decided to listen to Live at the Marquee.
Too bad it's short, but I can't get tired of it.
My DT day actually started yesterday when I listened to ACOS  ;D ;D ;D

"Images and Words" has 5 syllables.
"A Dramatic Turn of Events" has 8 syllables.

Hurr Durr :neverusethis:

Anyway, Happy DT day to everyone in DTF!

According to Wikipedia...
Length of ADTOE is 77:05
Length of IAW is 57:05

Add the number of minutes, then it becomes 2:14:10
2+1+4+1+0 *add the 5 digits*
and it becomes equal to 8

:rollin

It's only A minor misunderstanding.

September 8th trumps May 8th each and every time.  9/8 is my DT day.

I reserve 9/8 (be it September 8th or August 9th) for Genesis and Genesis only.
