So today is their album listening party where fans travel to Orlando to hear the new album before anyone else, and see them play a set.  I think this is their setlist which has some new working song titles.  Flying Monkeys seems very intriguing.

^ No idea, Wolf. That said, I'm really interested to hear how Wolfgang Van Halen does on this album. He's a great bassist.

^^ I think from what I've heard from those that went to the VIP album party and show was that Wolfgang added a certain dimension that is to the band's benefit.

That said, I'm naturally excited for this album, but I'll have the mindset that I had with AB's Fortress album and not go too crazy in building that self-hype and let the music speak for itself when I buy and listen to the CD.

I can't get the melody for Sympathy out of my head. It's so contagious, and it's just from that 15 second. How many great melodies has this guy written in the past 20 years? I can't wait for this album to drop

I think 10 is a perfect amount.  AB III was too long because it had 14 (16 depending on where you purchased it), and it could have been a stronger record if it was cut down to 10-11 songs.

Maybe he'll release Cauterize Part II with the other 10 songs they recorded

Yeah quality over quantity but I do hope they release the other songs later on as individual tracks if they are happy with them. 

Whatever they are doing could be a strategy thing. Releasing the other tracks individually once a month will keep the fans and the press talking.

There's something fresh about these tracks that we didn't get with All I Was. Don't get me wrong, I love All I Was, but as I just recently posted in the Alter Bridge forums, I think with All I Was, Mark pulled out riffs from a library of ideas he jotted down and proposed to the guys that never made it into a Alter Bridge or Creed song. I've a feeling he sat down and wrote songs specifically for Cauterize, and already from the samples I can tell there's something fresh.
