Another Harry Hill fan?

Absolutely.

I'm hoping they mess this around again for the next European dates - we had TGD, These Walls and Fatal tragedy this summer - hopefully they'll switch them for something else - Sacrificed Sons would be nice, as that wasn't played over here on the last tour, and they've still never played TMOLS in Europe.

TMoLS has been played in Europe (though, to be fair, not often). I'm pretty sure they'll switch the setlist up, though I'd rather see Lines in the Sand/Scarred again rather than TMoLS/Sacrificed Sons.

Well, they would have to retire all the longish songs that have already been played in europe this summer and are still on the US set, which are:

Endless Sacrifice
The Great Debate
Under A Glass Moon
TMW/FT

That would mean about 40 minutes of free space to be filled with anything. They could even start doing what they did in the SFAM tour from the second leg on:

ADTOE
other song #1
#2
#3
#4
---
encore

But most likely they will just switch some songs and carry on with the mixed sets.

The Curious Orange

Last time they were at Wembley they played one of the worst setlists I've ever seen them play to one of the largest crowds on the tour. I'm still traumatised by that *&%$£ing  drum solo.

Having made the effort to see them this summer, here's hoping they do switch some things round. Scarred would be nice - it's one of the songs I've never seen.

cyberdrummer

Yeah definitely an interesting development. I foresee it being a relatively short leg, hitting a few cities that they couldn't the first time round.

cyberdrummer

Montreal has the best setlist so far on the North American leg.

Nick

If at my two shows I don't see The Great Debate I'm going to mega rage.

But... you'd get both "Outcry" AND "Breaking All Illusions"!!!

Agreed. My show is the Albany show this Saturday. I'm sure I'll have plenty of future shots at Outcry or BAI but this probably my last chance for TGD.

These set lists are in need of Metropolis as encore. They're so good and it would make them perfect imo.

Looks like we should spend the weekend preparing for Nick's mega rage.

So I just checked, and, uh, you are one of the two who haven't sent.

Denver, please.

MegaDTSX

I can't skim through the past setlists because I'm trying not to spoil the whole show, but I really hope to hear it live. I'm going to the 10/27/11 Dallas, TX show so if theyre alternating setlist or anything could some kind soul tell me the likelihood of them playing BAI at my stop?  Thanks

DarkLord_Lalinc

Mladen

El Barto

Nope.  They're alternating A and B setlists, and it's on B.

That said,  I'm also avoiding too much info,  so they might well have altered their selists or added a C by now.

Also worth noting is that Dallas is the final show of this leg,  and the third show in Texas,  so it's remotely possible that they do something different here.

OsMosis2259

They have been playing it every night lately. The Great Debate got replaced by Outcry so the song before the encore is always Breaking All Illusions now.

tjanuranus

They have been playing it every night. Seems like they've dropped the great debate thankfully.

Irock

Yeah, it does look like they're playing it every night now-- at least in the US leg. I was really looking forward to hearing The Great Debate, but I guess if I get to hear both Outcry and Breaking All Illusions, I have nothing to complain about.

Wow.  Far out.

Wolfpacker96

I'm REALLY hoping for Breaking All Illusions in Atlanta.  Definitely a "5 star" track, my favorite on the album (though others are growing on me).

3 times this week i saw DT and all three shows people talked the the ballads. Now the volume is a lot lower in that part of the show so the time you REALLY shouldn't talk would be then. I had to try and block out the assholes in each show but people are so rude and inconsiderate it's infuriating. I guess if it's a slow song it doesn't matter and you can laugh loudly and talk.  :censored

Ditto. Tomorrow will be a...Dream...to Remember       :neverusethis:

Glad you guys are digging it.  Personally, I would have been REALLY disappointed if they pulled The Great Debate and replaced it with BAI before my show.  But, hey, I got to see the set I wanted out here on the west coast, so nothing to complain about on my end.  :D

I have no hate towards TGD. Honestly, I'd love to hear (almost) every song live from their discography. Maybe I'll suggest that to JP tomorrow night. "Have you ever thought of performing a week-long discography marathon?" I'm addicted enough to (1) take off work, (2) pay to travel/lodge there, and (3) pay to see that happen. We can all be obsessed dream...

Derango

Aside from the horribly dated lyrics and subject matter of the song, I'm not opposed to TGD in general.

I am opposed to it replacing, in my opinion, one of the best songs DT has produced in the last 8-9 years with a fairly middle of the road DT song.

Bring on Breaking All Illusions!

Kind of wanted to see TGD.  Since I'm seeing multiple shows I preferred the rotation.

Setlist Scotty

I feel your pain. You shoulda chewed them out the way you did MP on Twitter.
Quote from: BlobVanDam on November 13, 2015, 07:37:14 PMAs a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.
