I'm assuming there will be more dates announced.  There are too many Vacant dates. I'm hoping they announce a NJ show so I can avoid Manhattan.  :lol   Otherwise,  Hammerstein it is.  It's a decent size place.  I saw Maiden there.

As far as playing songs never played before, I'm guessing SDV and maybe Don't Look Past Me. I don't see them playing TBOT but you never know.

bluehaze1933

I'm extremely disappointed by the fact that they left out the South once again for their Evening with...shows. They don't seem to want to ever take their Evening with... shows down here. Why? I live in South Florida and long distance travel is simply not an option...and neither is paying lots of money to see them when they do their afterthought summer festival 70-80 minute shows, er, ah teases. At this point in their career, and with all of the accolades they've received over the last two albums, they DO have a say as to where they will play. If the can play three frickin' shows in Mexico, they can do a few in the South. I feel like they gave all of us in the South coals for Christmas. Thanks for the love DT.

Balls! No Seattle or Portland!
FYI

There is a Seattle AND Oregon (though NOT Portland date).

Seattle is the 14th (check TM) and I believe Salem, Oregon is the 15th.

Well... Seattle was not listed earlier today.

Whoa... McCaw Hall. Major change The Moore. And like twice the capacity. I have never known rock groups to play there.
Maybe the grass is greener on the other side because you're not over there fucking it up.

ddtonfire

Hope they're adding more dates because there are none within 500 miles of me right now.

Grizz

Probably doing the NY show. What sucks about that is that I want to be close to the stage, but I'm short and my dad hates standing room.
Boston is too far and we'd have to drive to get there. My dad certainly does not want to drive 130 miles at midnight on a Wednesday.
It'd be nice if they came back to a CT theater like the Oakdale, but that's clearly not gonna happen...
Oh well.

DTFan0789

Hammerstein Ballroom? FUCK YES!!!! I'll be living right in Midtown Manhattan by then, so this will literally be a short walk for me.  :metal

MetropolisDLX

Arghhhhh! No Utah dates! I hope they add us in a few days, or a Vegas show at least. I'm willing to make that drive.

CodyWanKenobi

Anyone know if the tickets will be similar in price to the ADTOE tour?
My latest concept album "IV: Timber" IS OUT NOW!

It would be cool if they announced an Ottawa date. There's clearly a gap in between Montreal on March 21st and the next show four days later. I don't want to have to travel 2-3 hours to Montreal or 5 hours to Toronto for a DT show if I don't have to. But If I have to, I fucking will!

Geez man... I'm considering driving to Montreal just to see them in an arena setting!  Sack up, make the trip to Mtl.

So I just checked, and, uh, you are one of the two who haven't sent.

Am I right in thinking that the Montreal show will be 15,000? It would surely be the band's biggest ever North American show?

3/31 at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank is on the roadrunner DT tour schedule

Prog Snob

I will probably wind up doing the NJ show just to avoid going to Manhattan.  Or if feasible, I'd like to do both.

cfmoran13

Right there with you.  Although, traveling to Red Bank on a Monday is gonna suck.  But, here I am complaining about getting to a show in my own state when other people are bitching about not having anything within 500 miles of where they live.  So, I guess I'll shut up now.

Progmetty

So no possibilities on more tour dates being released today or tomorrow?

How bad could the traffic be there?

Not that I know of. I think there's probably only two dates in the itinerary that could be filled with new shows: March 24th and April 21st.

Elsydeon

Anyone ever been to the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC before? thinkin about buying floor tickets..

Yes...I saw Iron Maiden there when Bruce first rejoined the band.  If you don't mind standing in a packed crowd (which I do) then you should be fine. It's a pretty big place. Ironically enough when I saw IM there, Mike Portnoy walked right by me.

emtee

Tickets in Detroit start at $144 and go to over $300.00.

Last time I saw DT at this venue they were with 2 openers and tix were around $50.00.

dream416

Just scored my my Platinum Ticket for the Toronto show.
LCF Row A, Seat 29. I have an isle seat & pretty much dead centre.... ;D

Holy crap - and that wasn't for VIP seats?

Just got 3rd row, stage left, in Denver for $80 (including the $15 (in)convenience charges).

And they go on sale Friday! Interesting roll-out for this thing.

Tix showing at $35/$45/$55 and buying at the box will save Ticketmaster fees. Their site coul dalso update their band photo from the BC&SL one.

Why? It's not like there was a personnel change or anything....

countoftuscany42

anyone familiar with this program DT is using to sell tickets through their website? was looking at Philly dates which aren't on presale or anything on live nation yet, but you can buy tickets on DTs site.  the seat it showed me was pretty average so i might just wait, i probably should have been up early for it.  anyone else try and buy that way?

Edan the Man

Yeah I was wondering that, just realized I can buy tickets on dreamtheater.net for my show, but not anywhere else... but dt.net apparently can't give me 2 adjacent seats. What the hell? Are more going to be available on Friday? Wish they made this presale thing more clear.

TheAtliator

Ok could someone explain? I looked yesterday and nothing was on sale on DT.net for the US tour. I was going to use the Live Nation pre-sale Thursday morning at 10am to get good seats. Now suddenly they're available to buy on DT.net?? ??? And on DT.net, the seat picking is quite unclear too.

Damn you all!  Seriously, enjoy the shows.  The southeast and parts of the southwest may get some shows later in 2014.  Of course by then they will probably not have the 'Evening with' format.

Found it interesting that they left off Cincinnati and Cleveland, especially being so close to the other northern cities on the list.

Oh well.

The Oakdale is the best venue I've ever seen a concert at. It's my favorite. I've seen DT there four or five times, but they haven't been back since the Chaos in Motion tour. I love DT and all, but to go see them in NY turns into a really expensive day. Way more than I'm willing to spend to go see a concert. The trip costs more than the tickets do.

CT is such a shitty place for bands that are in the middle, popularity wise. There are Toad's Place and The Webster, but those are only good if you don't plan on attracting more than 200 people. The Meadows holds 25,000 when they really cram people in there. DT played there with Yes, but it was during the winter months when they had the lawn closed off. Even then, it still holds 9,000 or so (I believe). There is the stadium that Uconn plays in, but that's ridiculously huge, I saw The Police there. The Oakdale seems to be the only venue for in between bands. Sure DT never sold it out, but they'd still get close to 3000 fans in there. That venue hasn't been doing much of anything lately. The best act (subjective) to come through there in the last year was Steel Panther, and they played in the arena, not the main stage.

Edan the Man

Ended up getting the Gold VIP tickets, since I didn't want to risk waiting until Friday and getting bad seats (just once I wish DT would do a general admission show in my area :lol)

Washington DC, April 1st! Anyone else going?
