Songs you just actively, with a passion, flat out f*****g dislike (and yet seem to get played over and over anyway):

1. The Pina Colada Song - Rupert Holmes
2. Watcher in the Sky - Ghost
3. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns and Roses
4. Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh
5. Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
6. Every Day Is A Winding Road - Sheryl Crow
7. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
8. Twist and shout - The Beatles
9. Losing My Religion - R.E.M.
10. Shake It Off - Taylor Swift
11. Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss A Thing
12.

Surely we can get one more person to finish this one off?

I watched a few live clips and it's just normal picking.  Good chop builder either way though.  I wish I'd learned hybrid picking way earlier in my playing.  I'm still not great at it, but it's opened up so many possibilities.

I used to play it in cover bands many years ago and always picked it.  That was before I even knew hybrid picking was a thing.  Was just thinking it would be way more efficient playing the riff hybrid style and wondered about Slash.  I'll noodle when I pick up the guitar next.

Maybe someone with cleaner technique than me could make it work, but that riff, while in theory with all the string-skipping making it a candidate, seems to sound better to me with the regularity of a consistent picking motion.  Hybrid picking I find is better for when you either want the lower notes a bit more prominent, or the higher ones snappier, depending upon how hard you pluck.

Hybrid picking is a guitar playing technique where you pick some strings using a guitar pick, and pluck other strings with your fingers. Using a pick creates a different sound than plucking strings.
