BtS is great, though I wouldn't rank it that high. SDoiT is kind of... well, I like some parts and dislike others, therefore I can't really rank it on its own.

Regardless, your write-ups are... amusing and they do always make me smile, so carry on.

I am glad that you've picked up on how much I enjoy ballads though, anyone fancy taking guesses at my top three?

Vacant will be number two.  If it had samples I would bet on it being number one, but it doesn't - at least, not that I'm aware of.  Still, it is a ballad and it has strings, so it satisfies two out of three of the criteria you've talked about most throughout this list.   

As for #1 and #3... I don't know.  Could be Hollow Years?

(Also, I don't know if I have any drunken talents, because I don't drink.  But I did read your question, so I wanted to respond.)

Anyway, cool update.  Beneath the Surface is an amazing song.  I'd have been disappointed if it wasn't in your top ten, given your love for ballads.

Also, I'm glad to have amused all of you with my write ups, it's been great stress relief during exam season, and it's been really fun refreshing the DT catalogue for myself again; I've been listening to a lot of Peter Gabriel and Magnum recently and I haven't had a chance to really sit down and appreciate DT for being my favourite band
