I'll definitely be going since it's on my birthday and I'm really glad its at the LC this time rather than the Newport.

That would be awesome!

Pockets17red

I will be getting the Meet and Greet package so I could ask if the whole band could sing happy birthday to you and get the fans involved as well!

dreamtheater360

I thought about getting the meet and greet package too. Never done it before.

That would be amazing, man. I just couldn't afford that, otherwise I'd be down to reinforce your point!

If you can afford it and money isn't too tight, I would recommend getting the package.

ResultsMayVary

One of these days I'll get the package. I need to do it at least one time in my life with DT. Too bad it'll be at least the next album cycle.  :(

I still haven't seen any information for the venue's website, the promoter's website, or ticketmaster. They are taking their sweet time putting the tickets for this show online for purchase.

boogity

Yeah i know, I've been checking almost everyday and they seem to be gradually adding the shows to ticketmaster, yet still no Columbus :(

I'm waiting for Promowest (the promoter) to add the show to their wesbite. From what I understand, the Chester, PA show is in the same boat, but no matter. Everything should turn out fine.

I thought the tickets weren't on sale until tomorrow at 10am?

And be sure to mention it to the guys that it's dt360 and my birthday as well. Too many DT fans' birthdays on 6/19!

The VIP packages went on sale at 10:00am on May 2nd. I'm going to need a list of names to have the band sing "Happy Birthday" to!

Good idea. Oh and I will probably be right in front of the stage since we will be getting there so early so I might see you there!

Hey Dreamtheater360? Do you also want me to try and get DT to sing Happy Birthday for you as well?
Anyone else got a birthday on June 19th? Might as well get everyone in on this!

Heck yeah. That would be funny.

ResultsMayVary

I managed to get a couple of my friends who like prog but aren't crazy about DT to come to this show. Hopefully they'll realize what they've been missing when they finally see DT.
I'll be seeing this show with my two friends, two brothers, and my girlfriend. Can't wait. :metal

How is the venue? I *might* be at this show... As in there is a very small chance that I might have migrated out to Columbus from Los Angeles  for that week

The venue is awesome. I saw DT here back in 2008 during the Prog Nation tour. It's an outdoor show, so there will be a GA pit with a concrete floor and then a GA Lawn area that is slightly raised above the rest of the venue. I've always had positive experiences with the Promowest staff, so that's never a problem. It's definitely my favorite venue to see a concert in Columbus, so I'm excited they're playing the LC this time around instead of the Newport (like they did in 2010 between the Maiden shows).

^ Smart guy here.  :tup
Great ticket price, and really any place you are standing/sitting, you get a great view!

Show moved indoors due to excessive heat warnings! And I don't have a ticket yet, and ticketmaster isn't selling any. I was going to wait, because no way they would sell out the outdoor stage. Now I'll have to pay extra through a re-seller.

gilpdawg

Ok, false alarm. Ticketmaster had it listed as "not for sale" for a while, but it's back up now. However, since this show is being moved indoors, I would HIGHLY recommend you buy tickets before you go, as the indoor stage only holds 2200 people, and DT usually draws between 1800-2000 in Columbus. So, if there's a slight bump, it will sell out.

Shadow2222

Enjoy the show tonight guys (happy Birthday RMV, by the way!), and don't forget to report back with the setlist.  :lol

My friend who works at Promowest confirmed this to me yesterday, but I didn't see anything official until today.

Pockets17red

Mhmm, this will be interesting. I have never been at the indoor venue. Good thing I check the forums frequently! See you guys there then.

dreamtheater360

Happy Birthday to us, ResultsMayVary.

Everyone enjoy the show tonight. I wonder how different is will be seeing them indoors at the LC. I've never seen a concert inside there.

The indoor venue is behind the stage of the outdoor venue. The entrances to both are right beside each other. You don't have to go to a different entrance, so that's why they usually don't announce it publicly if they move shows inside or outside at The LC.

Yes, Happy Birthday to us! haha.

The indoor venue is pretty cool. The sound is great and I've never seen a bad show inside (but I've never seen a bad show outside, either, so it really doesn't matter). Just enjoy the air conditioning rather than standing outside in the 95 degree weather.

Shadow2222

I'm terrible lol. I'm sitting at a Cheap Trick/Aerosmith concert still checking for any updates  :lol
