I actually really like the self titled album though, which seems to put me in the minority :lol

So, if I were to host the SYL survivor, should I include any bonus tracks? The first couple albums have some good ones, especially Centipede. Damn that song kicks ass. :metal

Ultimetalhead

I'm not nearly familiar enough with the bonus tracks, unfortauntely.

Buddyhunter1

There's not too many. Not counting the demos and cover tracks, there's:

-Japan (HAARHT)
-Monday (HAARHT)
-Centipede (City)
-The Long Pig (TNB)

There's also C:enter:###, but I can't find that song anywhere.

it was released on a vinyl single and on the Japanese TNB (usually pops on eBay every couple months for good prices). it's also in the SYL vinyl boxset.

Yeah, but with the other bonus tracks I can at least find them on YouTube or whatever. I've never heard that song; I tried looking it up the other day and couldn't find it.

In semi-related news, I finally got a high-quality file of the full-length version of Love?. Why they decided to edit it for the regular album is beyond me.

WDADU

The only obvious answer is all of them.

ZKX-2099

The one that gets off his ass and starts working on Z2.

You mean the guy who's been working on a shit ton of stuff this entire time, and people are just too impatient since he already spoils us with consistently fast album releases?

For those who haven't seen it: Devin 'reviewing' an acoustic guitar. Absolutely brilliant  :rollin
And here's Ziltoid's Christmas Speech. (second down)

Shadow Ninja 2.0

Tunnel Vision

Heard this song for the first time... https://youtu.be/XZJsDUJDQg0. Devin posted a link on his twitter page.

Onno

That's really cool, nice to hear that song instrumentally.

FlyingBIZKIT

I just now heard a song created by Devin Townsend for the first time ever.

Canada. I like.

If you like Canada, you should probably listen to the whole of Terria. Amazing album.

Ultimetalhead

Buddyhunter1

Probably my 2nd favorite song on Terria, behind Deep Peace.

Ultimetalhead

Hm, why not

1. Stagnant
2. Deep Peace
3. Earth Day
4. Canada
5. Nobody's Here
6. Mountain
7. Tiny Tears
8. Down and Under
9. The Fluke
10. Olives

Shadow Ninja 2.0

1. Stagnant
2. Earth Day
3. Nobody's Here
4. Down And Under
5. Deep Peace
6. Tiny Tears
7. Canada
8. Mountain
9. The Fluke
10. Olives

Or something like that.

Buddyhunter1

Alright, let's see here...

1: Deep Peace
2: Canada
3: Earth Day
4: Stagnant
5: Tiny Tears
6: Down And Under
7: Nobody's Here
8: Mountain
9: The Fluke
10: Olives

It's nice to see some appreciation for Stagnant.

KevShmev

Okay, I know all of Terria is awesome, and it is no shame to be considered one of the least best songs from it, but The Fluke should be higher on your lists, considering it has the best moment on the whole record:

Writing and eating and shitting and sleeping
In rain or in shine
Masturbate 'till I'm blind
In the cause and effect of the one troubled segment
Of time and the place and the look on your face.

And I write and I eat and I shit and I sleep
Yes, I eat leafy greens nearly three times a week.
And I'm not unafraid but no longer afraid of you anymore!

:metal :metal

Shadow Ninja 2.0

There are many better moments on the record.

IT'S JUST ANOTHER MOUNTAIN!
...JUST ANOTHER MOUNTAIN!

PROGdrummer

I've never checked out Terria to this day  :blush
I'll have to get on that soon.

Onno

Best moment on Terria for me is pretty much the whole "SO JUST SHUT YOUR FACE..." bit in Earth Day. The ranking is too difficult for me, although I can say that it's probably Earth Day at the top and Olives at the bottom  :lol

FlyingBIZKIT

I've listened to Terria in full once. It's definitely different. I'm liking it, but I think I'll end up liking it a lot more down the road.

When I was getting into Devin's music (which was pretty much during the summer of 2013), I thought Terria was pretty cool, but during the past 2-3 months or so it has grown on me a lot. It's one of his best albums IMO.

FlyingBIZKIT

I think it's long overdue that I check this guy out.

Shadow Ninja 2.0

Ki is still my favorite.

....I feel an album ranking coming on...

The King in Crimson

1. Deep Peace
2. Earth Day
3. Stagnant
4. Canada
5. Tiny Tears
6. Nobody's Here
7. The Fluke
8. Down and Under
9. Mountain
10. Olives

Terria would be a perfect album were it not for Olives and Mountain. Those two songs, sitting right at the start of the album, made it kind of hard to get into at first. I like them (a bit) now, but they still stick out. Humble's a bit out of place as a closer, but it's a bonus track and I kinda like it... for some reason. It's just wacky fun.

Mosh

1. Earth Day
2. Deep Peace
3. Nobody's Here
4. Stagnant
5. Tiny Tears
6: Canada
7. The Fluke
8. Mountain
9. Down and Under
10. Olives

I have nothing but love for Olives and Mountain. Olives sets the atmosphere flawlessly, and Mountain has the beautifully lush vocal layers over the classic Devin Townsend crush chords. I also found that I appreciated Mountain a lot more when I read the lyrics and the song meaning.
