Only a debut album should ever be self titled. At any other time it just comes across as either lazy or pretentious imo.

I could understand if ADToE had been self-titled, purely because it represented the beginning of a new era for the band. To do so now would be a bit lazy though, I agree.

Maybe should, but plenty of bands do it for something other than the debut. Even the Beatles waited till what would become their second to last.

Can't say I agree. Avenged Sevenfold's self-titled was a major letdown for me after the flawlessness of City of Evil.
