It's because they're the ones taking pics of each other's instruments!

I was just thinking about this earlier.  I think it's a cool way to build up the suspense.  In the past, we've gotten videos and/or a bunch of updates on Facebook/Twitter, etc.  This time, pictures of the equipment.  Not much talk, no pictures of the guys, just pictures of the equipment.

And it still manages to build the excitement.  Moog Taurus Pedals!  Mangini's got a keyboard for something!  Jordan grew a third arm!

Anyone actually got a MM JP ?

How do they feel etc ?

It was always my dream to get one and buddy did. He let me borrow it for a year or so when he stopped playing guitar completely and to tell you the truth, it wasn't for me. I didn't like the feel or the location of the switches, it just didn't feel right. That said I'm always a sucker for piezo pickups (not sure if the JP13 has them).

I'm mainly a strat guy now. . .

I know a major concern after MP left would be the communications with the fans, but thankfully post MP DT are doing more than fine in that department.

Hi everyone!
Obviously you've all heard the news of Mike's departure from Dream Theater by now.
I felt it important to open up a line of communication in an effort to kill any rumors and to promote clarity.
I love Mike and really hope he's happy and successful in whatever he does.
***I realize that Mike was always the one to actively stay in touch with our fans, and I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to try to be at least a bit more present on both mine and DT's websites and to let you all know that I am here.****
To me, Dream Theater's story is one of defying the odds, standing for true integrity in music and creating our own success through perseverance and hard work, so although Mike's leaving is heartbreaking, I still look forward to an amazing musical journey that continues on with some of the most talented and respected musicians and composers on the planet!

Yeah, but we've been getting interviews from all of them, even the "new Mike", notifications via their Facebook pages and Twitter accounts, a little on-the-road series via the official youtube channel, a lengthy end-of-year email and other random things. I feel just as well informed as I were before the split, really.
