I don't know if I like the title, but that's possibly because I'd already seen the release date, and I was letting myself getting excited about the announcement. "The title is... THERE IS NO TITLE!" Bit anticlimactic. I think it'd be fair to say ADToE was the album that had something to prove... but, this is the one written as a gang, this is the one that's a statement of the new lineup, so I do see the logic.

If they have a song called Dream Theater, I'll be stoked. That's ballsy. Very excited to see the cover art and the tracklist. But a little underwhelmed by today's announcement, personally. Completely my own fault, but it feels like the lid's not been lifted. It's just drifted ajar.

Mind you, crockery must be flying in the Chateau Portnoy. Not only have they positioned this as the definitive DT album... but they did a thing the Beatles did!! It is going to take a Lost marathon to get MP back to his happy place.

I knew something was up yesterday when that pop-up was leaked on their website with just the majesty symbol and the release date with no title.......and while I don't want it, I think the purple image will be the album cover

If it is, I'm not going to kill them for it. We'll only have to wait until 2015/16 for DT13.

Also, we still have no clue what the booklet art is going to be like, so hold your tongue that the artwork for this album is all bad.

It's called "InStudio episode 1," so I think we'll be getting them weekly, at a guess? Certainly semi-regularly through YouTube.

Though tomorrow two years ago John Petrucci revealed the tracklist so we might see it soon.

I'm gonna say it's PART of the album art. When they revealed ADTOE and it's tracklisting, a banner showed the top fifth of the artwork, showing the album title and band name.
