So that probably means the "main" set is the first full show. I am fine with this if it is legit.

?

I thought they'd make a mix of both nights but maybe it was easier to put one of the shows as the main one.

Yeah, and the first show was ever so slightly stronger.

So Japanese officially believe that SDV is the best song in the universe? :D

"I will talk to me" and "Beyond the Scene for this Period" made me lol :lol

EDIT: I translated the names for all the DT songs to Finnish and then back to English. No funny translations of translations, but the most different ones from the original were Beneath the Surface (In Depth) and OTBOA (Spine Angels). However, I Walk Beside You was translated as "Ismo Beside You" (Ismo is a man's name) before I translated it back into English! :rollin

Since it seems the first night will be the full concert (minus the bonus songs), are we losing out on any spectacular performances from the second night of any of the duplicated songs?

On most of what I checked out, no. Just like the first night, they were mostly slightly stronger than the tour average, but the first night was stronger overall, and on a couple of songs (notably Surrounded) significantly so.

May 15th release date!! Just pre-ordered the Japanese Deluxe Edition.

The Stray Seed

'Purogureshibu metaru' would have been the correct phonetic transposition.

Anyway, if that's the cover, I really don't like it.

Awesome. Thanks Mora!

Does anyone here think that this is possibly fake, or at least subject to change?

It can definitely be. But let's discuss it as if it were legit since DT is not giving us any info at the moment

I was at the Luna Park on the second night. Honestly, it wasn't impressive. Don't get me wrong: DT in a "not perfect night" is still an outstanding event. We all know that. If they're planning to release the first show, good. I'd like to watch that, plus the non repeated songs from the second one as an extra.

I can live with that, if it's the cover.
Yeah, it's not exactly thrilling, but it works. I like the fact the unicyclist is there.

I'm quite sure it isn't fake; lots of upcoming CDs and DVDs appear on online stores' websites with release dates, details etc. before they've been officially announced. Some details may change though, for example if the release gets delayed (which hopefully won't happen!).

My only problem is that it looks so cut and pasted, theres like no shading on the plane or anything to show that the unicyclist is there.
This. In general, I love Hugh Syme's work, but I think he's getting lazy, taking on too much work (and therefore doesn't have enough time to give the cover the attention it deserves) or he has underlings that are working for him and he's not looking at the artwork closely before giving it his stamp of approval. Not only is this apparent with DT's artwork, but even some of Rush's is starting to get this way.  :-[

Anyway, the fact that he used exactly the same unicyclist - nothing changed aside from the coloring and that his hat is blowing away - comes off looking very poor or as YtseCullen said, cut and paste. I think some proper shading on the unicyclist could've helped at least a little bit.

Even the majesty symbol looks very arbitrary and I don't think properly follows the contours of the airplane body (worse than on the cover for ADToE, which I also think looks arbitrary, but not as bad as this). I just wish he'd have put more time/effort/thought into it, and that the guys in the band that approved it would have pushed him to do so.

As for the tracklisting, personally I would have preferred that the songs from both shows be intermixed - I doubt it would have taken that much effort to do so. My biggest fear is that the "bonus" tracks won't appear on the CD release whatsoever, which would be a major disappointment to me.
Quote from: BlobVanDam on November 13, 2015, 07:37:14 PMAs a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

It does happen with some releases! But considering the amount of time they've spent working on this DVD and Bluray, I don't think it's likely to be delayed again. Or wait a minute, has it actually been delayed at all? This is the first time we have an actual release date.
