By the way, I might be a little late to the party, but who is this Weymolith person, anyway?

TheGreatPretender

That seems like a bit of an outdated answer... Judging from that Facebook post, he does more than manage a forum now.

Short story:  A long-time employee of the band.  He ran MP.com up until a bit after Mike left DT, and got kind of a bad rap among some fans because Mike wanted the forum run a certain way, and Wey wasn't afraid to run it that way.  He is one of the admins here because he helped me initially set up this place, and has been instrumental in helping me keep this place running smoothly behind the scenes.  He is also a great friend, and is currently the band's Social Media Marketing Manager (apologies if I got the title somewhat wrong).  He is also Debra's Significant Other.

Enough info?

He also repairs droids if they're ripped apart and gets upset when light speed is malfunctioning.

I suppose. That still doesn't explain how he'd be involved in a Ytsejam release on an audio editing level.

Oh, nevermind. That explains it.

TheAtliator

Ah! So they took out TW since it was on LALP and put in AD!? Awesome!!!

or should I say... from another day?  ;)

One  for that line, and 5      for the whole thing. I think you're right, except maybe CIAW was also replaced with something and one of those soundwaves are actually To Live Forever? Anyway, I'm happy I either helped you or partially beat you to it  ;) good freakin job if you are right.

And I really hope we're right about this because this would mean almost every song from the ADTOE tour gets a release. And that would be freaking AWESOME. Only leaving out As I Am and the one-time Paradigm Shift and Court of the Crimson King I think.

Well, this doesn't directly address your specific question, but let me just say this:  Keep in mind that no one from the band has said that this is a "Ytsejam release."  Maybe it is.  Maybe it isn't.  But also keep in mind that the person who oversaw Ytsejam (Mike Portnoy) is no longer with the band, so any future "Ytsejam" releases may not be the same kinds of releases we have gotten in the past.

TheAtliator

I hope if it is a live show release it's video too and not just audio! maybe I'm asking a bit much though  :D I'll be happy however it works.

Okay, you're right. I didn't mean Ytsejam specifically, though, I meant just on any kind of audio engineering, mixing, etc. level. But hey, if it's just another one in a big bag of skills that this acclaimed Weymolith has up his sleeve, it's all good.

Weymolith

Fast and good.

But not 100% correct.
QuoteAs you can see, almost every track is not included in LALP.

Thank you  :D

After seeing Weymolith's post, I think you are right. CIAW may be another track, and To Live Forever seems right to me. I know this is a long shot, but maybe the Crimson and LTE tracks are going to be part of a future "covers CD"? That would be amazing, too.

I think what she meant to say was:  I know about the honour of Mary Jane, god.   She was obviously a stoner.

Why aren't you taking over the world right now?

Too much work to do.

Besides, who needs to rule the world when the internet has free porn?

So is that link supposed to mean the release is going to be our Xmas present at 6:00 in the morning? Very cool that there's no overlap with LALP!  :tup

emtee

Cool. I knew he was very close with everyone in the band but didn't know he had a position of employment with them.
A man of integrity for sure.

Looking forward to the 'treat' that's being put together.

It never ceases to amaze me what some of you people can figure out just by a picture of the sound waves. Holy fucking shit.

Indeed. And he's missed from MP.com, as far as I'm concerned.

And the CSI-DTF team scores yeat another roaring triumph!

I only have one remark: of the 7 times that Learning To Live has been played in the dramatic tour, none was outside the encore, as you can readily check. So unless they messed up with the order, The Count Of Tuscany came before it!

I think they might have slightly switched up the order (like Peruvian skies appearing to be 3rd) because they are taking out Caught in a Web, OTBOA, and These Walls and possibly replacing them with different songs. maybe it makes it flow better.

The tracks have been all discerned through track lengths, right? Does that mean (or rather, presume) that everything these days is played with click?

TheAtliator

I think just approx track length and the look of the wave. Like the way TGD fades in at the beginning and fades out at the end. Or TCOT drops out and gets quiet in the middle. Maybe Nest777 looked closer into it though. But yea, I thought it was already presumed that everything by Mangini has been with a click.

nestcmartin

When I say song length, I'm talking about the length of the songs in my High Voltage 2011 bootleg, same goes for the soundwave  ;)

Pretty sure that was already confirmed by a Mangini interview.
