Anyone going to this one? I will probably go, since I will be in Bochum that week visiting my gf. If anyone from around is going and wants to meet for the show I'll be glad so I don't have to go alone!  ;D

I'll be coming over from Australia to this and a couple of other shows. Would be happy to meet up before the show as I'll probably be going this one alone as well.

So are you all up for a beer before the show then? (I won't be taping anything so I guess no free beer for me...  :laugh:)

I don't know the area so I don't know where we could meet. Any ideas?

I was there last time they played there on the Sytematic Chaos tour. What a great concert, what a great place!

But since I was already in Hannover earlier this year and now they are also playing in HH, I will skip this one... :facepalm:

Noobie question! :D Experienced tapers put their recording (or their external microphone) in the shirt pocket to minimize visibility and leave the hands free.

Only morons like me still hold a recorder up in the sky for three hours straight  :lol

My brother sent me a picture of the concert. Didn't look particularly full.

Managed to pull a great recording. Had issues with my new Omni microphones, I received them and only one channel was working. I've asked one of the security guys for ducktape lol, managed to fix it with that :).

99% of the security dudes where dicks, everybody who was taking pictures or was filming had their cameras taking down.

I'm pretty sure Frost wasn't able to video it.

Nope I came into the venue about 10 minutes before the show started. Everybody was sitting down, managed to be on the 5th row at Petrucci's side without problems, I'm pretty sure he's seen my mics too.

Only if it's on the streets of NYC. But if I was a taper and my recording device got wet and ruined, it would be a trial of tears. :millahhhh

Been there done that, twice actually. Once for GNR in Monchengladbach in 2012 and for Bon Jovi in Prague last year. Both came out decent, but the dripping on the mics is annoying. I wouldn't recommend it actually.

I really butchered the version of my recording on Dime. A far superior version is on the Tradersden now.

The files are filling 30Gb and my upload is not the fastest, so it will take some days to get it all up
