Good morning guys! Sadly I'm leaving Allentown today, with it's beautiful weather.

It was not too bad on Saturday so I went for one last ride. Sunday I had to drive back to my Dad's in the rain ( thankfully it stopped for my entire journey  :hefdaddy ) and I drove slowly as there were

puddles everywhere and leaves covering the ground. . .

I think i'm done riding til the weather improves in about March.

Nice Pics Blobbo ! :blob:

Pretty funny how Enterprise is supposed to be a Space Cruise Liner 300 years in the future and The Captain's Chair is essentially a wooden box with some cushions on :lol

King Postwhore

Reap.  Did you see Nick?!  He lives in Allentown.

Blob, looking cool!

It's almost as if it wasn't built in the future at all! :neverusethis:

All of the chairs are actually normal chairs you could buy at the time, modified to look different. The captain's chair was a regular armchair with a wooden frame built around it with some buttons and stuff. The other chairs were Burke model 115 chairs, painted blue with some custom cushioned bits. There weren't as many options for making stuff back then, clearly.

I love the JJ Abrams Enterprise Bridge. At least it looks like it's in the future - not in some kids basement.

BlobVanDam

It looks like an Apple store, and I don't like the viewscreen being an actual window. It's huge and has no personality, and isn't at all memorable.  It pisses all over pretty much every iconic element of the original bridge, then throws in a bunch of price scanners and joysticks for good measure. And of course lens flares.

No I didn't have the time, I was only here for the weekend and I drove with my gf to Philly to see Bill Burr (I later learned he was in Allentown ::) and have some cheesesteaks. I ate a Pats cheesesteak followed by a Geno's cheesesteak and then contemplated my life decisions.

I do play on hitting Nick up in December when I'm here for longer.

Are you doing anything to store your bike for the winter?

Meh - i'm keeping it in a barn. I could put a cover over it. It won't be outside.

More like those people who - if they didn't like a film - they hate every single thing about every single second. Just because.

Or perhaps they just have an opinion you don't agree with.
I mostly like the exterior of the ship (aside from the proportions, which are too front heavy), but the interior is so sterile and generic. It could really be any modern scifi spaceship / movie.

Kotowboy

" It looks like an Apple Store "

Ergo - I don't like Apple products, so I also hate their shops and anything that reminds me of their shops!!!!

Would you like it if it looked like a Windows PC shop ? :splode:

Which other "modern sci-fi ship" does the interior look like ? Granted I don't watch much other sci fi...

I like the outside too despite the obvious scale issues which drive me mad - the hangar is clearly way too big to fit in there :lol !!!

Most people said the nacelles are too bulbous. I like them - although they're slightly too close together for my liking.

I'm hoping that during Beyond - or at the end - there's a new Enterprise - closer in design to the Constitution II class.

Er no, ergo it looks like an Apple store, all shiny and white and brightly lit with lots of screens and very present day. Is there even a such thing as a Windows PC store? That's just called a store, since Windows isn't fixed to a particular brand of computer.

Kotowboy

I was only joking with that one hence the smiley :p

If I could choose any Enterprise to live on - It would have to be the Galaxy Class.

Kotowboy

This is easily the best looking :

BUT IT WASN'T THE JOKING SMILEY! IT WAS A SERIOUS MAD SMILEY! DAMMIT I NEED CONTEXT!

Galaxy class would have to win. It's the first Enterprise to have a holodeck, and the Enterprise E didn't seem as spacious or designed for passengers as much. And the Defiant and Voyager were both much more cramped.

The Enterprise refit is a beautiful ship. Not sure what my favourite Enterprise is, but that's up there.

Kotowboy

Easily Galaxy Class for roominess, luxuriousness and the medical bay seems to be able to cure almost anything. I'm sure Beverly could cure my tinnitus and whatever else.

And of course holodeck and ten forward to hang out.

Actually ten Forward would be f---ing amazing if the ship was at warp. Just standing by the windows looking out.

Actually we have a windows store in Tampa, it's very much like an apple store with less staff and a bunch of Surface Pro PC's

Holodeck whores. That is all.

Nah. Beach plz.

Yuck. I'd rather contract real syphilis from the holodeck whores than have to go to a beach, real or holographic.

Chino

Last winter I bought 3 zip-up sweatshirts from Costco. I think they were like $18 each. I got a letter in the mail from Costco over the weekend informing me that those sweatshirts had a different ratio of fabrics than the tag stated. They said that they were sorry for the false advertising and gave me a prepaid $20 card for each sweatshirt I purchased  :metal :metal

I love companies that give a damn.

I'll say I agree with Blob's take on the ST09 bridge and leave it at that.
