¡Sí! :)

I don't know how I'll be able to get all the money to travel to and from Bs. As. + the ticket to the show, but we'll see... yes we shall see...

So looks like they've finally confirmed their tour to SA!

I hope it includes Mexico! Can wait.
I used to think Mexico was usually grouped with the US & Canada as 'North' America for touring purposes? (since it's much more closer geographically, despite the language being more 'South' American).

Anyways, I just searched for more information on this leg, and apparently it will take place in June. I hope it's a little later than that (or maybe LATE June), since it doesn't give me a lot of time to gather the money. It's likely that I'll get another new job next month, but if that happens, I won't receive the extra salary until early June.

Darkstarshades

I'd feel extremely betrayed if it didn't include Mexico, that's like skipping a very large fanbase for no real reason here.

They always visit 3 cities here, so it's not just a place to pass through.

They might head south and stop at Mexico, I think.

Betrayed is a strong word lol

Well, yeah, a huge letdown.
Of course I'd understand their reasons, but if I knew they were going to skip here, I'd be very pissed off for quite a while.

Please keep in mind that Mexico has been added for the 2nd NA leg for the past tours. So we may have to wait until late this year or next year.

Who knows.
Unless they went back to cover southern US, I find it highly unlikely that they'll make a 2nd leg.

Why unlikely? For tours that's the way it has been done. 2 NA legs.

Darkstarshades

"Past tours", not TA tour.
They've made it very clear they have carefully selected the venues and that it was a very different tour, so it's not comparable to the previous ones.

In any case, I'm certain they'll come.

They didn't do a second North American leg on the last tour. It's been five years since they've toured the South. James Labrie said they'd do all they could to make a tour of the South happen. Recently, on Facebook, he mentioned the possibility of doing a second North American to include Florida...we'll see.

Darkstarshades

And that's exactly my fear.
It wouldn't be the first time they skip Mexico for no reason, however.

They've been coming to Mexico since the SFAM tour....that's 16 years from now...They haven't skipped a single tour ever since then. Yes they have excluded certain cities (like Monterrey and Guadalajara) for certain tours (SFAM, Systematic Chaos), but I honestly don't see them skipping Mexico after the success they've had with each new tour.
Nothing is for certain, but I honestly don't see why this time will be different, yes JLB mentioned about different/selected venues, but I think that's it.

SystematicThought

Is the gig in Chile in July a festival or a show?

Chino

My money is on a show being recorded in South America

Great to see some confirmation on the South American dates. Since they always play Argentina right after Chile (or viceversa) I'm assuming our show will be either late June or early July. So, it looks like I might be able to fly to Buenos Aires after all! :)

For other people in Argentina: se confirmó un* show el Martes 28 de Junio en el Luna Park  :)

https://twitter.com/dreamtheaternet/status/727155563050733568

Dream Theater has confirmed 1 tour date for Guadalajara on July 11th, wonder if the Monterrey date is gonna be on my 30th bday...
Darkstarshades...you were saying? this tour being different?

Darkstarshades

Well, I expected the Auditorio Nacional, but that's too big, lol.
Anyway, awesome venues, been to the Teatro Diana a few times, never been to the Pepsi WTC. Altho I love the way it looks, tough call.

DarkLord_Lalinc

Pepsi Center is just fine. It holds around 7500 people, which is not far from Auditorio which holds 9000.

Also, two nights! First time I'm seeing DT two nights in a row. Any Mexican DTFers up for meeting up?

Dunno, if I pick Pepsi Center you can count on me there.

Auditorio is awesome, I still get chills just thinking of the Symphony of the Goddesses 2 years ago, TA there would have been perfect. Still, Pepsi WTC can still surprise me.

I'm up. I wish this would have happened like in the Octavarium tour, that way we would get to see some unique show.

TA's not my favourite album but I can't keep my inner fanboy from seeing DT once again.

zoso

Now I wonder if Monterrey will get added to the list :S
