Ugh, I can't wait to eventually move to the East Coast and have some good pizza again.

What's so special about East Coast Pizza?

Jay, even this guy knows NY/NJ is the mecca of pizza.

I mean everyone rants about how good it is.. but as someone who's never had it... I just.. I just don't understand...

King Postwhore

I have and I agree.  Of course there are places as good in other states but I know as a Boston guy where it's at.

It's all about the tomatoes and cheese.  NYC pizza is the best.

JayOctavarium

So if I am eating Little Ceaser's , am I doing it wrong? :neverusethis:

Prog Snob

There's a pizzeria down the street  from my job that's one of the best I've ever had.

If you show up at my house with a Little Caesar's pizza, you're going to wind up like Caesar.

But I will say this. New England Clam Chowder is better than Manhattan Clam Chowder.

So a coworker of mine, who is also working in Real Estate, showed me a listing from a local Real Estate agent looking for an Full Time Assistant. Local. Mainly data entry and running around for her and what not. Starts at $5 more an hour than I make currently. I am thinking about going for it.

Why are you thinking about it and not doing it? I rarely meet anyone who hates their job as much as you do. Go for it.

Then take all that extra money and go to New York and eat some real pizza.

Yo, you can fuck right off with those lies! New Haven CT is the mecca of pizza.

Morning, Reap and Coz.

Evening, Blob.

You guys know shit about shit.  Say I have a logo/band name that's already kinda put together.  There are two things I want to do to it.

1)  Outline all the letters in white in some fashion.
2)  Take ONE of the letters and superimpose flames over it.

Is this something I could easily do with free software like GIMP?

Podaar

Probably, I'm sure it echos the procedures made popular in Photoshop. The outline is simply a layer blending option. Probably the easiest way to put flames in one of the letter is to create a layer mask and past the flames into that. You may need to copy the test layer and rasterize it prior to making the layer mask.

ReaperKK

At work and just got the news that one of my coworkers wont be coming in.

GIMP can definitely do it. Is this logo a font, or a hand drawn sort of thing?
Alternatively, I'd be happy to do it for you, if you want.

That could be a good or a bad thing depending on the co-worker.

It is a font.  It's not even something I'm 100% certain we'd use, but it's an idea I want to float by band members to see what they think.  I'll send it over to you, because the amount of time it would take me to actually learn how to do this and apply it properly would be like all day or something.  Thanks.

Podaar

Looks like I'll need to download GIMP and give it a whirl. This is the first I've ever heard of it.

BlobVanDam

Podaar

Me too, but it wouldn't hurt to be familiar with it.

BlobVanDam

I don't know, I tried to use it once, and it hurt quite a bit. :lol
