Nah.  I ask for is to be consistent but more can't.  It's a low paying physical job and the employees are here for a reason.  I want to help them and show them about responsibility and a good work ethic but it never ends.

Being less of a smartass, is there any opportunity for any of these people to ever take on more responsibility (and likely more cash), or are they just going to permanently be sets of hands?

Absolutely.  Benefits, safety bonuses.  Overtime, opportunities to move up the company.  With our company, you can get health care one month in not 3 months like most companies.

I'm surprised you even remember that! Yeah, this will be the same concept, but this one will be a real game and not just faked video. I'm remaking the first level of Donkey Kong Country.

I've made a couple of other fake gameplay videos since that have also done well, but they weren't of real games. I've been wanting to do another remake of a real game though, and that first level of DKC is iconic. I also want to do a level from Banjo Kazooie at some point.

Yeah. I think I saw it on someone's MySpace page. Opening it through the website rather than Youtube made is so I didn't see BlobVanDam as the creator. I remember showing a bunch of my friends. We were all crushed when we found out it wasn't real.

Wednesday sucks so far. Took me half an hour to solve a bug that crashed Unity upon trying to run anything. Turns out that the code to search for a subobject isn't recursive through the hierarchy, so it crashed upon failing to find the object, so I needed to specifically specify the subobject. Boy does my face look red, guys!

Tuesday was a public holiday here, which sucked. It threw me entirely off. I have enough trouble telling the day of the week as it is without that curveball.

I'm just glad that my allergies have calmed down to their normal level, they were brutal Saturday through yesterday to the point where it's been affecting my sleep. I've got a beer judging class tonight, but leaning very much towards just going home and having an easy night on the couch instead.

Actually. we are moving to the modern world with a 31" touch screen we will use with our Visual controls.  Damn cool.  We'll set it up this week and then the program will be emailed to me.

So The Lovely Mrs TAC is in surgery ATM. Having a biopsy. She likely has an autoimmune issue that presents similarly to .... in the lungs. Just ruling the fucker out.


Directly across from my wife's pre-op bed is a picture of an RN who worked here but died of .... at age 44. And today's the anniversary of her passing.
