At work today:

Tonight:

I subscribe to the NWOTHM (New Wave Of True Heavy Metal) channel on Youtube. Now they put some real shit into my feed. But I constantly drop the needle on most things they put up. Tonight I checked out Nova Era, a band from Spain. At first I was like here we go again. but next thing I knew, I was 4 songs in. I enjoyed this very much. At 8 tracks under 32 minutes, it's a quick hit.
Musically, I have no issue with it. Vocally...well, I can't tell if the guy is really good or really bad lol. He sounds a bit like Andi Deris and even Dee Snider in parts. It reminds me of the vocalist on Glass Mind's Haunting Regrets. The guy is so bad, but his passion shines through where it's actually admirable. That's how I feel here.

For the Retro album thread, looking at 1973 albums, I came across this one that I'd never heard before. This album is a real trip. It's kind of hard rock with an insane drummer. I've never heard this before but it's fucking cool as hell. Picture Freddie Mercury/Noddy Holder singing punk rock over Deep Purple/Lucifer's Friend.

A lot of win there.  I've started seeing that Youtube channel too Tim.  Gotta check some out when I get some time, but seems like a lot of cool shit.

So awesome being able to listen to music at work.

That youtube channel is a fucking minefield though lol. But every now and then you get something a bit charming, like this album.

Poverty's No Crime - A Secret To Hide

I didn't even know they were releasing anything, so when it showed up in my Release Radar playlist, I was very pleasantly surprised.  Another banger from these guys.

Yeah, it was the first time hearing them. I never bothered before and I'm not sure why. I liked it a lot.

Is that the new one?

I tried No Place For Disgrace. It was ok but the production was too fizzy and there was no power to it at all.

Looking forward to the new one but I'll give this one a try in the meantime.

Today

Alice Cooper - Trash, Last Temptation

Vicious Rumors - Digital Dictator

Victory - Culture Killed The Native

Not sure when that one came out but it's definitely not the new one.

The End Of Chaos was their last album. Came out a couple of years ago. I actually just listened to it the other day and it is all kinds of awesome!
