I've refreshed Freddy's twitter page so often that I'm now getting targeted ads for other renovation companies

Well, at least we got two songs this time, lol.

And today we got nothing.   :rollin

As I said....it ends where it began. Begin Again .

Is anyone going to the market? 😂

Yes, Freddy Jacobi () :

"Me and my (half-a-)dog were on the way to market. At a distance of 10km, we met 5 cats running at 20km/h, 14 sheep going at 5km/h and we saw 56 cow legs, 144 chicken legs, and two alligators. In this nightmare to remember, how many went to market?"

rab7

Either we go with the original "St. Ives" answer, and say that none of the animals mentioned are on the way to the market (besides the dog), or we assume all of them are going to market.

And his (half-a-)dog 😂

:lol Yeah! It makes me Wonder : does that make 2 or 1.5? :justjen

rab7

Probably just reference to the previous riddle.

He said "my friend's dog" in the first tweet, but then said "my dog" in the next.

Someone asked "Is it yours or your friend's?" and he replied that they own half the dog each.

RMGadelha

And that he divided the dog from nose to tail xD

Bertielee

OK, I hadn't followed this.

Do you know something we don't? The beginning was the link to Freddy's Twitter which in turn took us to the Vail Renovations website.  Hmm.

Come on, it's obviously the case of the missing dog.

So, I just caught up & solved with all the tweets so far:
Q1: 5 hours
Q2: 85m
Q3: 3 light years
Q4: 10 miles
Q5: 21 (assuming all the moving animals were going towards to market & the unmoving ones weren't)

Q5 : yes, but even the "unmoving" ones may have been moving if, say, transported in trucks for example. In that case, they Don't move by themselves but they are moved by another means.

Generally, when you meet someone on the road, you don't go the same way they do.

It's not necessarily true : you can overtake them if they're going the same way as you are at a slower pace. Or I don't understand the word "meet", which is quite probable as well! :rollin

Maybe the answers form a phone number we need to call just like the first puzzle.

Freddy + 1/2 dog= 1,5   :\

I know, it doesn't have any sense...

Have you heard the riddle that begins "as i was going to st ives, i met a man with 40 wives...."?

I'm thinking it's the same logic here

Only 3 numbers at the end 😎

fivestring

If the St. Ives route is taken with this riddle, there would be a lot of superfluous information. The St. Ives riddle does that as well, but I doubt the rates of speed listed for a couple of groups of animals are insignificant here. The other riddles so far have been simply stated. If the St. Ives riddle format would have been used, it would have been more apparent. All the numbers in this recent riddle are likely of use in finding the solution. No other riddles had superfluous data.

Just some pondering aloud here as to discern what the relevant data is for this one....

Indiscipline

John McClane and Zeus Carver already solved that.

The Treasure Hunt has been extended according to Cpt. James.  New question today too which I have no idea about.

bosk1

:lol  James is such a supreme goofball.

rab7

He said bus when he meant Train.

When he says "they need to be back in 8 hours", I take that to mean "it takes them 8 hours to get home".

I think their whole trip starting with the train journey and ending at home took 8 hours. That would present a distinct solution = 4 hours
