A while ago they cut down some peoples post counts as a joke.  I remember Hef had his.  A few others.  My post counts are correct.

Of course prior to this he DID leave. About 548 times.

As for accurate post counts, I'm not sure the last time there was a pruning of old posts, but it used to happen every couple of years.  I'm sure most of us long-haulers are down a few hundred posts.  Bosk for sure used to (maybe still does) manually change his post count.

The post counts are MOSTLY accurate.  Mine is pretty fucked up.

Scary, heard about it in the news. Then there was also that earthquake in Turkey/Syria that killed over 1600 so far.

There is a 7,7 magnitude earthquake south of the Turkey and after 9 hour a 7,6 magnitude earthquake happened again. Winter time, death is increasing... I don't know what to say. Scients says it's even bigger disaster than 1999 Kocaeli earthquake and one of the big in Turkey's history.

I drove from Istanbul to Eregli (about four hours east, along the Black Sea) in the aftermath of that '99 earthquake and the destruction was incomprehensible.  Entire buildings were reduced to just a shell, pillars and floor slabs.   I've never seen so many tents in all my life.  If this is worse, that's heartbreaking.

It seems worse sadly. I was 11 years old when 99 earthquake happened and lived in Kocaeli very center of the earthquake. I remember all the things clearly and never forget. We are following the news, seeing the scenes... It's unbeliveable and saddening. It's like I l am living again the horror.

Experienced the 6.8 Nisqually Earthquake here in WA in 2001. We managed to skate by without significant damage, comparatively. I just looked it up, there was 1 recorded death, and that is listed as a heart attack.

I can't describe what I feel. I lost my some of university friends and their families. All I can do is to watch and follow the news and it pains me.... it makes me useless. Me and some of my friends organize some medicine and medical care equipment for babies and children from Istanbul thanks to my institution. There is a huge help from many countries around the world too.

I know in DTF there is so many people around the world. I thank you all, all your countries, your kindness, your considerate.
