Same here. I'm not a vinyl guy, so these are nice to have for the display case without having to spend a ton of money vinyl I'm not going to use.

Upon first listen, reminds me of Bridges in the Sky, but not as good.

Mix wise it's very good, bass loud and clear, guitar tone amazing as always, drums sound loud enough but not overpowering. Vocals buried more than I'd prefer.

Love the energy of the song, the outro was atmospheric yet heavy in the best way.

I've still got over five hours until I can listen to this single... I'm getting very excited for this one!

DT songs ALWAYS need a few listens to grow on me. Here are some notes so far:

First listen: Meh. Not the worst, but nothing spectacular. Honestly a bit disappointed

Second listen: Much better already. The chorus resonated more with me this time. Not my favorite JP solo, but not bad. MM sounds great! Some of JLB's melodies are a bit uneventful, but I suppose some more monotone lines fit the theme of the song.

Third listen: Didn't improve since the second listen, but in the context of the album I very well may start to like this song a lot.

How would I rank it against the songs on DOT?

My first impression is that it's the most bizarre DT single ever. Not only does it not sound nearly as accessible as any of their previous singles, I wouldn't have guessed it starts the album if I didn't know already.
