The fact that Katatonia is the first band listed does not bode well for me.

Well, it should bode well for me, but I seem to have lost my roulette superpowers.

It's definitely Crow-core, but the song "Madeline Becoming Judy" is quite interesting, I especially like the intro.

Wow, he's already on a banned list.    You haven't heard his solo piano interpretations of classical pieces though, you might be missing out... 

Overall though, this is the roulette I've been most eagerly anticipating, but am also most nervous about.  I suspect I have the right music, but selecting the right songs, deciding when/if to pursue the themes, only being able to plan ahead so far for them, and using the full range of the scale can make a possible lead evaporate quickly, plenty to overthink.

Although I can easily conceive of someone sending a song that they love, but maybe they only love that particular album, or even just that song.  I would imagine that the longer you've been in roulettes the more you could drift towards this.  Even participating in as relatively short of a time as I have I've noticed myself loosening my criteria, and have thought about a few of the artists I've sent that I'm not quite as familiar with whether they'd go on my next ban list.

I can see what you're saying. But keep in mind my roulettes are always sending a 20 minute selection of songs or, before that, whole albums.

But yeah I guess I don't do banlists in the same way. I just ban the albums I know, rather than artists outright. So if I stopped following an artist for whatever reason, their more recent material would be available.

I decided not to put Russian rock/metal bands (Aria, Chorniy Kofe, Chorniy Obelisk, Epidemia etc) I grew up with as they're probably not well-known enough outside Russia so they won't be sent to me. I can send you some of the songs though, seems only fair after you just sent me more Ulrik Lyngs.

I'd say they're probably one of the biggest metal acts here. They've got some solid stuff too, if they were singing in English they'd be definitely known on DTF among the metal crowd. Probably wouldn't have been this big over here though.
