Yeah...that distracts me to the point that I don't find them funny when they're like that (I tried to write "their" but just couldn't do it).

You need an URL to post pictures. Most people tend to use Imgur to upload and create an URL. Keep in mind that you need a URL for the actual image (usually ends with .jpeg).

I use Facebook, but those links go inactive after a few days or couple of weeks (not sure exactly).

This. And unless it's your own picture, you can usually just google it, open image in new tab, and use that URL.
