Nice. I might hit up the Denver show and am thinking about going to the Pre-show meetup.

I could go to the NYC one but then I'm a big old INFJ so the thought terrifies me

These preshows are really fun! It really gets the mood going early, thereby extending Dream Theater Day! Some are better than others, but how many places can one go to geek out over DT with others In Person?

I've been to one in Denver and one in Phoenix. Had a blast both times. I actually won the trivia in Denver.

I still cannot believe that there's no DTUSA people in Boston.

Buried by 'disagreements' in the NoAmerican thread, I mentioned where some people take planes, trains, and automobiles from other states to host. I did two here in Baltimore, three in DC, and one in Philly.

Wheeling WVA has someone from Florida hosting this year. She also hosted the first one I went to in Baltimore.  It's just the way things work out.

btw..the Philly cohosts this year are my old cohost and a friend from New Jersey.  Skeever, it is at the same venue as for Dreamsonic, just a couple of blocks away from The Met.

No, I saw that. I'm just shocked that there's no one based in Boston in DTUSA.

Ah, no I meant for you :lol I won't be at the show in Boston but I'll hopefully build up some courage to attend the one before the Radio City show.

I'm down for the Philly meet up, and NYC, but Philly is coming up and on my mind.

Yep. Going to try and do the Philly one for sure. Probably nyc too. That'll be a LONG day in nyc! Rangers game at 1 then pre-show meetup and then the show! :hat

Lonk

I was planning to get to Philly around 6. I might need to rearrange my plans to get there a little earlier now.

Yeah, I'm taking the day off and my plan is to head out around 3, to give myself time to have a cheesesteak  :lol

I was literally thinking the same thing. I often go to Jims and more recently Genos, but my gf was just telling me I should go somewhere else (I forgot the name though).  I've got to start doing research of the area though.  Only been to the Met once and don't recall too much other than I was able to take the subway there.

I been to Genos and Pat's, but I was hoping to try a different spot.

Maybe some of the Philly residents can tell us the secret spots  :lol

Jim's, on South Street is my favorite.  There's a place down on the south side, Tony somethings, but I forgot the full name.  That's not wicked close, though, to the Met (though I'm not exactly sure how far north of City Hall it actually is).

Tony's and Nick's?

Also, are you going to the Philly show?

That sounds right.

Philly is going to be a game-day decision. I have my tickets to Wallingford and Radio City. As I sit here now, I'm 51-49 NOT going, but I feel like as we get closer, I'm going to get the initiative.

Just updating, that there have not been any additional updates.

Yup, coming up quick.  And it's sold out now. (I do see one ticket, but yeah, it's effectively sold out).

I've got to watch a bit though to see what comes available (even though I have my ticket) because I'm still on the outside looking in for RCMH ticket and it's sold out.  I expect some tickets to become available day of show, but we will see.
