The new Nile is killer.  Also:

NEW GRUESOME! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1oGI0P2sgQ

If you're unfamiliar with this band, they are helmed by one of the Death-To-All vocalists (Matt Harvey) and are a band that pays tribute to each of Death's era's by writing original music in that vein.  Their new album is a tribute to Death's Human in songwriting and style.

Previous albums were tributes to Scream Bloody Gore, Leprosy and Spiritual Healing.

Thanks for this recommendation - a few obvious differences - but the new one sounds amazingly like Chuck wrote it

So much good death fucking metal this year...

Unhallowed Deliverance - Of Spectres and Strife

Check this out. It's brutal, and tech-y with some insane bass work.

Can't wait for the new Nile album.  I dig pretty much all of their stuff.

I've listened to that Unhallowed Deliverance album a couple of time now and I really dig it.  Lots of great death metal this year!

Engulfed - Unearthly Litanies of Despair is another newer death metal album that I have been enjoying a good bit lately.  Check it out if you haven't yet.

Came hear to post this but you beat me to it.  Listening right now.  Love the chaotic and unsettling atmospheres these guy create, and the drummer is a beast!

WOW! This CRUSHES! Checks all the boxes for a tech death band for sure and the production is on point!  :metal

I checked this album out. It sounds AMAZING! It's not exactly my thing, but I hung for a couple of songs and it is indeed excellent.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Loving the new Gatecreeper!

Full disclosure, I'm a somewhat casual DM fan. I drop in, get me some blast beats and growling and get out - probably to do the same a month later. I dig it a lot but it's not a genre that fills all time best album slots for me. Except for Entombed. They were a band I absolutely adored back in the day.

So the new Gatecreeper (Dark Superstition) totally works for me. It's channeling the Entombed death'n'roll vibe really well. And the vocals are a huge highlight. No monotone grunting. Man sounds like LG Petrov mixed with Tomas Linberg. I've been nodding my head and pulling faces to this all week.  ;D

Any fans of the cartoon Adventure Time in here?  Quotes from one of the characters mixed with the music of Death.
