hopefully after the elections they will form a party so the conservatives can divide among themselves.

It's really pretty much a re-branding.  They're the same people, just marketed slightly different.

This is the first I've heard of Christine O'Donell, I was more familiar with her when she was known as Anne Coulter.

Anne Coulter is (was?  I haven't heard anything about her in awhile) much more of a total bitch, and I sincerely believe that she wants all "liberals" to die horrible, horrible deaths.

This chick is just plain dumb.  Even against the low baseline set by the average politician.

Coulter just wanted to sell books. Saying outlandish things, whether or not you actually believe them, helps.

What I don’t understand is why these Palin/O’Donnell types can’t just stick with their local government. Palin was, what, governor of Alaska? Apparently Alaska functioned fine with her at the helm. At least I didn’t hear anything about her driving it in to the ground. So she was at least serviceable in that job function. Why do they need to aspire to bigger, and more unmanageable, things where they are more likely to suck?

Palin was, I believe, having plenty of corruption allegations thrown her way.  While Alaska was functional (insofar as Alaska can actually be functional), she did have issues.  As for O'Donnell, she's never had local political experience.  Her three tries for the senate have been her only political experience.

Man, this is pretty fucked up.  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/10/29/defends-odonnell-night-stand-story/

I don't like the girl, and I certainly disapprove of her being a tease, but throwing this out there is highly uncool.  What an asshole.

I agre that it's pretty low.  I also think that if it's true, she's stupider than I thought, and I'm surprised it hadn't come up before now.

So, I doubt it's true.

It fits her personality perfectly.  I'd buy it.

I just don't think that it's relevant or reflects poorly on her outside of being a tease.

I kind of have to wonder if this thing wasn't orchestrated.  Other than being a tease, she didn't do anything wrong,  or necessarily hypocritical, so this is hardly a deal-breaker for her.  However, the invasion of privacy is earning her a great deal of sympathy.  Hell, even her competitor is sticking up for her.  I bet this whole thing gets her a few points, and the worst thing that came of it is the knowledge that she doesn't shave her bush.

Can I ask a stupid question? If a private school wants to teach Creationism what's stopping them? They are a private school and not a government run school. Don't these schools have a certain autonomy which gives them certain rights to teach what they wish to teach in school? I ask this because if not then how can we justify Catholic or Religious schools who should have the right to teach Religion in their schools without government interference as I would suspect a Catholic School told not to teach bible studies goes against the 1st Amendment.

I agree. I also don't understand why NOW have made such a big deal about it, or how it degrades all women candidates.

They think, and I agree, that trying to paint somebody as slutty is out of line.  If her date involved a goat or a troop of boy scouts, then it'd be relevant.  All Gawker did was print details of a seemingly awkward date in an effort to make her look--well, I don't know what image they were shooting for.

Oh I agree with why it's out of line. I just don't see how it specifically degrades women. The same thing the other way round would have exactly the same problem, surely?

I doubt that there would be calls of man-whore or anything like that if a woman came out of the woodworks and said that, three years ago, she had a "one night stand" that didn't even end in sex with some male political candidate.

I believe their concern is that a whole new line of attacking women candidates has emerged that doesn't exist with male candidates.
