My attempt at the first 2 verses of Prophets of War

I didn't sing, but I tried to stay faithful to the original Indian accent part and MP's backing vocals. I also threw in a couple of misheard lines and there's an important message at the end!
OH MY GOD!  :rollin

I give you The Dark Eternal Night.
I lost it at the first verse.

I love how easy it is to make cringeworthy DT lyrics sound like deep poetry! Someone should do Never Enough with all the dramatic breathing pauses in the first verse.

You can't let an awesome thread like this die, so I'm bumping this again - this is what my Swedish sounds like (ursäkta för mitt uttal, svenskarna!): https://vocaroo.com/i/s1Xa7nReyFmK

Also, I got a stupid and crazy idea that we could have a F#5 contest where everyone records their attempt at singing it! :lol Anyone brave enough to give it a shot?

We already had one sometime in 2010, I think, and I'm quite positive that the idea had been already exploited even then. I am not able to hit the note in any place that is not the shower, sorry

My mic isn't good enough at picking my metal yelling/high notes up - believe me, I have tried :lol
I can hit the note although I think it's on the very end of my range. Damn you James, you can't be out-range'd by a girl :lol

Sometimes when I just suddenly try it with enough falsetto, I'm able to pull it off, but if I try it again, I fail miserably! :lol If it was one step lower (E5), I could do it multiple times. But then again, I don't sing very loud.

Singing loud is the key to hitting it.

Really? The louder I sing, the harder it becomes to reach the higher notes usually. Or maybe I haven't sung loud enough...

But you know what? I tried and succeeded now! https://vocaroo.com/i/s15KgXOndxzt Who's next?

I think I should stick to singing along to OSI and Chroma Key songs, they're much closer to my natural range! :lol

You just reminded me of something Kevin said about Mikael's guest spot on Blood: "He's got a wide range, slightly wider than mine" :D

I was thinking of doing an impression of Portnoy but for some reason he has the voice of Sly Stallone.

Yeah, and in the Finnish intie I once translated here he said that when he heard Mikael's files, he was like "so this is how a real singer sounds like?"

I'm so sad that I can't play any of the older recordings. :-[
