According to mike mangini's Facebook he is off to set up his new kit all ready for writing and recording the new album I would cut and paste it but I am on my phone:-( anyone else excited?

I'm excited to focus on what the new music will be like.  I hope we get some updates from them.

Those were times! I remember the guy who came out of the blue and posted a huge and correct investigation on the studio they were recording.

Oh that one. What I find funny is that the picture that was tweeted of Myung sitting down at the studio with the bass is almost similar to the one of Myung at Cove City in Lifting Shadows

No, that one was another guy! The one I'm saying was the one that guessed that they were recording at the Cove City basing himself on the twitter pics of the studio!

I remember somebody posting that he guessed if you were to sit across the street from the Cove City studio for a few hours you probably wouldn't see much. Probably just some people going in and out and a food deliver car pull up...but it was only a guess.

Well looks like Jordan and Mike's gear is ready to go (soon), and admittedly, they probably have the most to bring in terms of sheer weight and volume, though I'm sure the Johns will bring some great gear as well! Can't wait to hear their updates on this! And let's hope they film a full studio documentary this time around!

Woohoo! Those Facebook pictures got me to dust off my username and post for the first time in ages. Pretty excited to see how Mangini can contribute musically, especially since they've had the entire tour to jam and riff together.

Welcome back! (by the way, are you really italian or it's just the username?)

I am sure that the experience and th chemistry they have built jam anfter jam, soundcheck after soundcheck, will be a source of delightful thematic interaction between the drums and the other instruments. I wouldn't mind to see so e sections where the drums become central, as a vocal section with no James.

Yeah, I remember that too! Ah, those were golden days... (read: frustrating days because it took them forever to reveal the drummer!) I also remember the guy who had gathered enough pieces of information to guess that Mangini is the new drummer.
