Eyes Set To Kill


Got into this band recently, and I've never seen them mentioned here.  They're a melodic metalcore band with a female singer (one of the few female singers in metal that I like).

Casey Crescenzo of The Dear Hunter is a member of The River Empires. Their debut album was released last week and it's excellent. 88 minute orchestral chamber-folk/pop. The Gloomcatcher is the side-solo project of Jessy Ribordy, the main driving force of TRE. It's more song-oriented and a bit electronic in spots, but it's also a big conceptual project.

I'd highly recommend both of these groups to fans of TDH and Casey or more or less anyone around here.

Yeah, Volume Two is really good, but I think Volume One's better, so I'd advise that first. They're both the retro-pop I've heard in a long time, and her voice works so well despite not being technically amazing.

Clayman is probably my favorite overall.  I've been liking Come Clarity a lot more recently.  Soundtrack is also pretty high up there on the list.
