Same.

Quote from: pg1067 on September 29, 2024, 09:56:06 AMI booked my flights last night for the RCMH show!  Flying into LaGuardia on Thursday and flying home from JFK on Tuesday.  Not sure where I'm going to stay - probably in Brooklyn.  Probably will check out the Islanders v. Blue Jackets game on Monday or maybey go to Newark on Monday for the Devils v. Canucks.  Can't wait!

Booked my hotel.  Walking distance from RCMH for just over $200 per night!
Feelin' kinda spooky.

brakkum

I need to do that too, haven't booked a flight or hotel yet

pg1067

I had flight credits on Southwest and Delta.  My flight out to NYC (Long Beach to LaGuardia through Dallas) was free (although I paid the $20 for early bird check in).  The return flights on Delta (JFK to SLC to Orange Count) only cost about $140, which included exit row seats on both legs.  The place in Brooklyn where I've stayed in the past was about 50% more expensive than the midtown Manhattan place that I booked (and I can always cancel and rebook if I find something better).
Feelin' kinda spooky.

Booked mine, too. Just around the corner from Times Square this time and only eight minutes' walk to Radio City, apparently. Which is nice! Have also booked my Virgin flight, LHR to JFK. Arriving Thursday lunchtime and leaving on Sunday evening. Very much looking forward to it although London and Paris to get through first :metal

Depending where in Times Square you'll be, that 8 minute walk can turn into 15 minutes if you don't navigate the crowd properly  :lol

True, but still a closer walk than from Penn Station

Oh, 100%, that walk from Penn Station can be exhausting

I just found my Chaos in Motion Ticket from 2007. I found the same seat at the upcoming tour, and what was $40 is now $63. I thought it'd be more. I'd be curious to see the spread from other venues.

Schurftkut

that's not much, in 2004 a ticket was 38,- and now it's over a 100

Quote from: ReaperKK on September 23, 2024, 11:32:07 AMI just checked Raleigh and there were hardly any tickets left.

Raleigh got a 'low ticket' warning and per contact at the venue it's expected to sell out. The reason is Raleigh, NC is pulling from many markets within a 2 - 3 hour drive: Charlotte, Richmond, Norfolk, Wilmington, Columbia, SC, etc...

Asheville unfortunately is gone after the hurricane.  We hope our fellow DT fans in western NC are safe, and mourn the loss of that wonderful city where DT have played many times.

NA tour kicks off the same day the new album comes out  :metal  :metal

I wonder if the EU tour will get the new single, and then the US tour will get 2 or 3 songs off the new album in place of tracks played on the EU tour.

Was wondering the same thing.

I would imagine US is going to get one extra, maybe two. Hopefully not in favor of rarities that they play on the EU tour. But who knows. The new single probably opens the show for both tours, I imagine.

Yeah, Night Terror strikes me as a concert opener.

My guess is they open the show in London with the new song
I'm never sleeping in a teepee again - Father John Misty

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.  Maybe SA gets the second single if it's out then and then NA get's the 3rd.  Haven't bought my Philly ticket yet, but this news makes me more excited to attend that show.

I wonder if it'll be ruby red as in the traditional 40th anniversary gift.

Booked my hotel for NYC, but haven't gotten tickets yet. I know I'll be buying from Stubhub/Seatgeek. Wondering if it's better just to wait until closer to the date of the show at this point?

nobloodyname

I'd say that's pretty high risk given it's MP's first show back in NYC, a hometown gig, and the last show of the leg. Oh, and it's not the biggest venue, either.

But buying from StubHub anyway... ouch. No tickets left through the usual channels?

dualpalmpilots

They're still there on Ticketmaster, but the remaining seats are at the top. I can get something in the Orchestra or First Mez for $70~ more.

I'm making my bid for it now. Metropolis opens set one, Night Terror opens set two!

nobloodyname

I think you might be right. Fuck, I'll explode if they open with Metropolis :metal

TAC

Yeah, there's no way Night Terror opens the show.

I don't have a ticket for Philly either, but rethinking that on the daily, especially since I couldn't pull off the trip to London like I had hoped.

dualpalmpilots

Ended up in the second mez, didn't realize it was "all in" pricing with Ticketmaster for the RCMH show. Considerably more affordable than the third party sites for comparable seats.

So excited. I've never seen them twice on the same tour and I was 16 when "Score" was filmed, so there was no way I was going to make it from TX up to NYC in those days. So excited!

Ah that's unfortunate. In another year I might have preferred CT to Philly since both are Fridays, but Philly being the first date makes that more interesting for me.  If you do go, let me know.

Skeever

I'll be at Philly once again.
Last time, dragon attack and the fan club had quite a nice event coordinated, so hope I can make it to that again should it happen.

Philly tickets are running low but but resale market is not awful at least as of yet.

After spending all night Sunday night watching videos from the London 02 show, Feb 7 will be looking SO FAR AWAY! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

My dad and I finally got our Chicago tickets today. Got two of the last affordable ones left (highest balcony, $89 a piece). 90% of what's left are ridiculous resale tickets and ridiculous floor tickets. Close to selling out...

Progmaniac1988

My wife and i exchanged our in the back of orchestra to the side tickets! New seats are center only a few rows from the stage at the upcoming CT show next year! Some new available tickets popped up and I couldn't help myself. Kinda pricey, but as someone that always budgeted at concerts and never splurged on really good seats I felt it was time to splurge and see my favorite band up close. Sorry for the randomness. I had to share my excitement somewhere! 😂

Thanks! We are pretty much minimalists, and dont have the time to do all that much lately. Work and life! So going out and really spending money on a show is a rare special thing these days. Getting old sucks!

Damn, you snagged the ones I was eyeing a couple of days prior, haha. Had to pony up and go resale a few rows up as a penalty for procrastinating.
